Beauty Hacks You Want To Know

My foray into the world of hacking started late last year when I saw a beauty hack somewhere online, tried it and it worked. I was astonished and I decided to find out others. Getting more for less in the Beauty department can give you one tingly feeling and you just want to go on and on with experimenting. Read these beauty hacks I can bet you never knew of and GLOWW.

- Go natural with your makeup remover by using coconut oil/vaseline. This one is the truth. It works even for those stubborn matte lipsticks. It will not only remove your makeup, it would also moisturise your skin leaving it supple and smooth.

-There's this colour in your eyeshadow palette you'd rather have on your nails? Just crush it, mix with clear nail polish and voila! No expenses incurred, you just got yourself a unique nail colour.

- All that lipstick in and you still aren't doing anything to eliminate dead cells? Give yourself that cute pinky pout by exfoliating either with a soft toothbrush or a DIY lip scrub consisting of sugar, honey, coconut oil/olive oil.

- So you've been defeating the purpose of which you're washing your face by not washing your hands first? Stop doing that and you'll stop introducing more bacteria to your face.

-We all have that lipstick we love but whyyyy does it have to look so intense? Solve this by applying with your fingertip instead of straight from the tube.

- You've run out of nail remover? Just apply clear nail polish to cotton wool and dab it on the nail you want to clean.

- Solve that problem pimple by dabbing some honey on it before you sleep and you'll wake up to see it's not as serious. Honey acts as an antibacterial agent.

- You accidentally bought a foundation that's a tad too dark? Of course, you don't want to throw it away. Just add a bit of moisturiser to help lighten it and you're good to go.

There are numerous hacks out there but I thought to limit this post to only those I've tried. I wrote down a lot I intend to try but procrastination won't let me be. What other hacks work for you? Please let me know and don't forget to use the various share buttons. Happy Hacking!!

  4. Yess, the coconut oil as a makeup remover is one that I use. Also, if I'm doing my makeup and I end up smudging my eyeliner, I just use some coconut oil to wipe off the smudge, it works. I've never heard of the dark foundation hack though, thank you for sharing. And thank you for your lovely comment. xx

This thing called Fashion

I've read more than enough articles, posts, whatever and I'm still yet to come up with the word. The one defining my personal style. Simple & Conservative keeps popping up but sounds too cliché so nayyy. I'm naturally not fashion oriented . Yes , I said it. It's not a problem, never has been ; to me anyway. When I hear about how some babes spend virtually all they have just so they update their wardrobe and how they can't control it ehn, I get really thankful for how simple that part of my life is but sometimes I just want to go out of my comfort zone and take risks. Fashion risks. Imagine writing on Fashion risks worth taking and you're just there in shell, scared of venturing out. Because I was trying to adjust my hair and the sweetheart snapping me said pauseee. I can't just keep up with the constant need to make up outfit ideas. Some days, I see people, pictures and I'm just like hey, I should try that, just go for this colour instead ...

Quick Life Update : The Abusive Relationship I Am In

I trusted him completely but he broke my heart and still is in the business of breaking it. His promise to always be with me Everywhere I Go was alas a lie. He said that only to catch my attention and make me his. He gave me mouth-watering packages that offered me less for more but it turned out to be a façade. I'm tired and frustrated. I can't carry out my normal routine with all he's been doing. I trusted him just this once and he disappointed me. I never should have promoted him from the zone I placed him in initially. I remember all the times I heard people complain about theirs and I was always relieved I wasn't in their shoes but guess where I am now? I guess that's what life does. Sit in a corner and laugh at you. Nice job. He looks so attractive on the outside but deep down, there's nothing exciting about  him. A big fat façade. I miss the things I could have been doing if I hadn't made the mistake of trusting him too much. His favourite colour is ...

For Times When You Go From 100-0 And You Can't Explain It.

This post title is quite a mouthful simply because I couldn't find something else to describe how I felt the day I wrote this. I've been in this situation more times than I can remember. It's always exhausting and annoying. I'll be gay, exuberant and then SNAP! I'm feeling down, irritated at nothing in particular and the rest of the day becomes gloomy. No, it ain't mood swing . Or is it? The most annoying thing about this predicament is when people start asking what's wrong and I can't come up with something genuine. The occurrence that prompted this post was the most 'interesting' one ever. Here's the detail. I was having an almost perfect day doing few things online that required me to write a little something about myself. I included "I'm a PhlegMel(Yes, I believe in temperaments)" after 're-looking' up the words in the dictionary to make sure they suited me. As I was to discover later that day, that was a wro...
